■Ordinance in Tokyo and regions surrounding Tokyo
Since Oct.1, 2003, control of exhaust emission (ordinance) to diesel vehicles started to be implemented in regions surrounding Tokyo including Saitama Prefecture, Chiba Prefecture, Tokyo, Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama City, Kawasaki City, Chiba City and Saitama City. The control is stipulated in detail that “ any diesel vehicle which is not in compliance with standard of granulated substance emission stipulated in the ordinance may not drive”. However wheel crane (first number is 9) is beyond the control
■Automobile NOx/PM Law
According to requirements of NOx/PM Law, “Control of Vehicle Type” is implemented to some automobiles, and those types with less emission of NOx/PM are recommended for use. Besides, on consideration of difference between ordinance and control, it is necessary to adopt corresponding measures to meet the requirements of Automobile NOx/PM Law.
■We adopted following measures to respond ordinance and Automobile NOx/PM Law:
Now, we are putting substitution of engine, all types of wheel crane can meet the above requirements and drive on the road. Truck crane, Unique trailer and others were changed successively, now they can drive on the road. We also check all vehicles which are used on site of national public utilities and replace with vehicles in compliance with requirements, therefore they can be used without any worry.
