Strong in Case of Disasters and Liquefaction
The Ogimachi Company Building, the Base of Daikyo Kenki

Daikyo Kenki mainly operates out of the Ogimachi company building where we also have our largest crane yard. This building was rebuilt in 2015 with the purpose of making it disaster-proof.

The building was rebuilt on 14 steel pipe piles, each with a diameter of 60 cm, to increase resilience against ground liquefaction. The first floor was constructed from concrete as a pure Rahman structure, capable of withstanding any oncoming tsunami.

Additionally, office spaces have been allocated to the second floor, so they are positioned at a height tsunami waves are not expected to reach. The building is equipped with a generator so that functionality would not be lost in case of disaster. The building’s wooden structure and large cross-sections of laminated wood makes you feel comfortable and warm.
